Square 1: Youth Group Kickoff

All teens are invited to join us Saturday, September 12 from 6:30–8:15 PM at the St. Columba Youth Center as we kick off a brand-new year of Youth Group with Square 1!

Whether you’ve been coming to Youth Group for years or this will be your very first night, this one is all about starting the year together. We’re especially excited to welcome our new 8th graders, who are now officially eligible for Youth Group! Come reconnect with old friends, meet some new ones, and help us get the year started.

Square 1 will be a fun, relaxed night filled with games, food, and plenty of chances to hang out and get to know one another. We’ll have a mix of group activities and “square”-themed games designed to get everyone moving, laughing, and connecting — including activities where students can meet people outside their usual group and plenty of time simply to socialize.

We’ll finish the night by looking ahead to what’s coming this year and taking a few minutes to pray together. Square 1 is exactly that — a starting place. From here, we’ll spend the year growing in friendship, building our community, and continuing to discover where God fits into everything happening in our lives.

This event is open to all 8th–12th graders. Please sign up in advance so we can make sure we have enough pizza for everyone! The event will take place in the St. Columba Youth Center, located in the basement of the St. Columba Parish House. Go down the driveway and the large hill behind the parish house to the entrance to the Youth Center.

New to Youth Group? This is probably the best night of the year to give it a try. Bring a friend — everyone is welcome.

Diocesan Safe Environment certified adults will be on hand to ensure compliance with Safe Environment protocols.
