The Catholic Community of the Good Shepherd
One Sacred Mission
Renewing the places that formed us.
Protecting the parish that unites us.
Together, we can care for the Church of the Holy Family and St. Columba Church—two sacred homes, one Catholic community, and one shared future.
One Parish. One Future.
Caring for the places where our faith takes root
Holy Family and St. Columba are more than buildings. They are where children are baptized, vows are exchanged, loved ones are commended to God, and generations have learned that faith is not simply inherited—it is renewed.
“Now these sacred homes need us. Windows fail, steps wear, water finds its way in, pavement breaks, and essential systems reach the end of their useful lives. The work is practical, but our purpose is spiritual: to leave both worship sites safer, stronger, and ready to welcome those who will come after us.”
I ask every household to pray, to consider what sacrifice is possible, and to join this shared work with a generous heart.
— Fr. Michael, Pastor

Our Shared Mission
What We Preserve
A merger can begin on paper. A parish becomes one in the heart.
At Holy Family and St. Columba, our histories remain distinct, but our responsibility is shared. The roof that shelters one congregation, the steps that carry another safely to Mass, the windows, parking areas, lighting, and sacred spaces—all now belong to one family of faith.
Every repair at either site is an investment in The Catholic Community of the Good Shepherd. Every gift is a promise that both churches will remain places of welcome, prayer, and sacramental life.

A Promise to the Next Generation
The buildings we inherited were cared for by generations before us. Now it is our turn.
Through One Sacred Mission, we have an opportunity to protect two places that mean so much to our parish and pass them forward—safer, stronger, and ready for the generations who will worship, celebrate, mourn, learn, and encounter Christ here.
